About the Role:

SaaS Operations is a continuously evolving domain. Change is coming from the continual improvement and evolution of our SaaS products, the tools we use to run our operations and our ability to resolve unforeseen events in production. Change is a driver for better customer experience in general but can also negatively impact the experience if poorly executed.

As SaaS Change Engineer you will work closely with our Change Lead in preparing and executing changes to our SaaS software platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SaaS Operations, Change Management and Project Management methodologies to be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure successful implementation of changes while minimizing impact to end-users.

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist the Change Lead in developing and implementing change management plans to ensure successful adoption of changes to our SaaS software systems
  • Develop and maintain Change Management processes, tools, and templates to support effective change management
  • Provide regular updates to the Change Lead on the progress of change initiatives, including metrics, risks, and issues
  • Analyze change impact and risk assessments to identify potential issues and develop mitigation plans
  • Ensure that change management documentation is up-to-date and accurate, including change requests, change logs, and change management reports
  • Groom and maintain the change and problem backlogs

 What You Need to Succeed:

  • Strong experience in SaaS driven environment, software operations or change management
  • Experience with change management tools and methodologies, such as ITIL, Agile, or Lean Six Sigma
  • Knowledge about NoSQL databases like Redis, ElasticSearch, MongoDB, etc.
  • Knowledge about Infrastructure automation frameworks like Ansible, Terraform, etc.
  • Understanding of containerization and microservices technologies
  • Strong working knowledge of Linux and understanding of Linux-based software stacks

Additional Skills That Could Set You Apart:

  • Hands-on experience with ITSM tools like Jira Service Desk, Service Now, etc.
  • Knowledgeable about on-call management tools like OpsGenie, PagerDuty, etc.
