About the Role:
Sitecore is experiencing spectacular growth all over the world! To build on Sitecore’s success and growth, we’re looking for a talented Technical Instructional Designer to collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders in developing engaging technical eLearning materials, Instructor-Led Training, certification exams, study guides, lab environments, and performance support aids for Sitecore customers and partners worldwide.
This hybrid role combines learning design and delivery, requiring the individual to occasionally conduct instructor-led training sessions as needed. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the technical enablement of the Sitecore Learning team and contribute to the growth of the Sitecore community at large.
What You'll Do:
- Manage the end-to-end design, development, and release of learning content and assets in various formats for Sitecore products, employing adult learning principles and instructional design best practices to meet learners' needs in a fast-paced, continuous delivery environment
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to define competencies, learning objectives, outlines, and suitable assessment methods, designing learning experiences that align with role-based learning paths for Sitecore products
- Create new, update, and enhance existing training content and learning assets aligned to the product release cycle and competencies leading to credentialing/certification
- Provide technical thought leadership in developing learning paths for functional and technical roles, empowering the internal Sitecore training community with required concepts and skills
- Demonstrate an ongoing commitment to understanding our learners, their needs, and Sitecore's products
- On occasion, facilitate and conduct live training sessions for the content you are responsible for
What You Need to Succeed:
- Knowledgeable or familiar with Content Management Systems (preferably Sitecore)
- Familiarity with front and back-end technologies (.NET, C#, MVC, CSS & JS are some of the technologies that we are using)
- Formal Instructional Design Education background and/or equivalent experience designing and developing instructor-led training and web-based training for Software/Hardware Developers
- Familiarity with industry-standard authoring tools, including Articulate 360, Camtasia, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
- Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills in English
- Experience creating visually appealing, professional, brand-compliant course materials
Additional Skills That Could Set You Apart:
- Basic network administration knowledge
- Experience delivering technical training in formal or informal settings
- Familiarity with SCORM, online learning, learning technology, instructional, graphics, and/or web design as well as the LMS platform.
