About the Role:
This role will be very hands on and play an integral part in all aspects of accounting operations with opportunities to work on a variety of projects and functional areas. The ideal candidate will be someone who can roll up their sleeves to execute accounting operations efficiently, identify and resolve issues independently, and work collaboratively with team members locally and abroad, within and without the accounting function. The ideal candidate should enjoy a fast-paced environment, be able to prioritize individual and team objectives, and be a good communicator.
What You’ll Do:
- You will be assigned various global or country specific accounting areas, which may change from time to time. This will include preparation of journal entries and supporting documentation, analytical review of account activity, tracking of various accruals and expenses while ensuring compliance with company internal control procedures
- Process various accounting functions, including accruals, prepayments, bank reconciliations, payroll, intercompany
- Assist with the preparation and filing of VAT returns for international operationsLead
- and assist in preparing audit schedules, providing data to auditors, coordinating with auditors and responding to their queries
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts, maintaining the integrity of financial records
- Conduct payroll reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Support the wider Finance team, including AR, AP, Treasury, and FP&A with reviews and queries, control accounts, and processes
- Work closely with the FP&A team to enhance reliability and accuracy of group forecasts and reports
- Assist with developing and implementing new accounting policies, controls, and procedures as needed
- Ad hoc accounting requests and projects as needed
- Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement within the international accounting function
What You Need to Succeed:
- Accounting Qualification – ACA, ACCA, CPA
- 3+ years relevant experience in general accounting within a multinational environment
- Strong proficiency with Excel is a must
- Experience with Netsuite, Coupa and other accounting tools
- Navigtes and communicates effortlessly in a cross-functional and multicultural environment
- Fluent in spoken and written English. Other language skills are a plus but not required
