About The Role:
We're looking for an experienced Infrastructure, Network & Cloud Engineer to help operate, support, and improve Sitecore's global network infrastructure spanning physical offices, Azure cloud environments, and SD-WAN/SASE. Reporting into the Senior Infrastructure, Network & Cloud Engineer, you’ll play a key hands-on role in keeping our network secure, reliable, and well-managed across a global environment.
This role is suited to someone who is confident working through technical issues, supporting change activity, and contributing to continuous improvement. You’ll work closely with the wider Infrastructure team, Engineering, DevOps, and IT-Sec, while developing deeper ownership of the platforms, tools, and standards that underpin Sitecore’s network services.
What You'll Do:
- Support the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Sitecore’s hybrid network, including Meraki switching, Palo Alto firewalls, Panorama, Prisma Access, Global Protect, and Azure networking.
- Implement and maintain network security controls, including firewall policies, segmentation, Zero Trust/ZTNA capabilities, IPsec/VPN tunnels, and ACLs, working under the guidance of the senior engineer.
- Administer DNS, DHCP, and certificate lifecycle activities across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Prepare, implement, and validate network and firewall changes through the agreed change management process.
- Investigate and resolve escalated network incidents within SLA, including participation in the on-call rotation for network-impacting issues.
- Work with Engineering and DevOps to understand infrastructure requirements and support the delivery of secure, reliable network solutions.
- Partner with IT-Sec on security alert response, vulnerability remediation, and compliance-related network activities.
- Create and maintain clear technical documentation, including network diagrams, runbooks, implementation notes, and support procedures.
- Contribute to the assessment of new tools and technologies by providing hands-on feedback and operational insight.
- Share knowledge with peers and support less experienced team members through day-to-day collaboration.
What You Need to Succeed:
- 3+ years of hands-on network engineering experience in hybrid or cloud-centric environments.
- Strong experience with Palo Alto Networks, Panorama, Prisma Access, and Global Protect (required).
- Strong experience with Cisco Meraki switching and SD-WAN.
- Solid Azure networking knowledge: VNets, NSGs, ExpressRoute, Azure DNS, Private Endpoints, and Azure Firewall.
- Strong fundamentals in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), VLANs, spanning tree, and QoS.
- Experience with network monitoring and observability tooling (e.g. Datadog, Grafana, or equivalent).
- Working knowledge of security certificate management and PKI.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code practices (Terraform, Ansible, or similar) a plus.
- Clear, confident communicator able to translate technical detail for non-technical stakeholders and executive audiences.
- Comfortable owning problems end-to-end in a fast-moving, globally distributed environment.
