About the Role/ The Opportunity:

As a key member of a large global operations team, you will manage the greater Asia/ Japan time zone. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the quote to provisioning cycle for the Sales Org along with providing guidance and advice on deal structure. The successful candidate will be bilingual with Japanese and English, have excellent communication skills, great at multi- tasking and can work independently as well as part of a global team. The candidate should have experience in Sales Operations, deal structuring, contract management and order management to bring into this new role.

What You’ll Do:

Sales Operations (Sales Support and Deal Desk):

  • Be a trusted advisor to the sales team, collaborating on pricing, product and commercial terms
  • Actively participate in deal reviews with sales teams and management
  • Order Management
  • Streamlining and improving business practices (including tools, templates and processes) to increase efficiency
  • Focus is transaction-based support for APJ primarily but also lends a hand to AMERICAS and EMEA if needed
  • Serve as an escalation point when needed to help move deals forward
  • Work as the primary liaison between multiple groups, such as revenue, sales ops, legal, finance, pricing, to help facilitate the deal process
  • Identify and make recommendations for process improvements; assist or drive implementation
  • Collaborate and share best practices across geos/regions
  • Training and advising Sales and any other stakeholders on pricing, quoting, on boarding process and best practices. Be comfortable pushing back on sales staff when necessary.
  • Provide consistent feedback on Salesforce CRM process and ensure it is properly maintained
  • Participate in the implementation of new processes and systems across teams and promote compliance amongst your stakeholders.
  • Sales Force – act as Superuser to your business partners, ensuring they understand how to use the system, where the enablement materials are located
  • Responsible for delivery of contracts.
  • Ad hoc responsibilities as needed to support the sales team

 What You Need to Succeed

  • Operations, administration, deal structuring, contracting or sales experience preferably in the software industry
  • Strong business acumen with excellent communications skills – verbal and written
  • Strong organizational and time management skills including multi-tasking, prioritizing and the ability to plan work activities efficiently to meet deadlines
  • Strong financial and contracting acumen with emphasis on margin analysis, deal structuring, understanding Commercial terms and negotiation of all items. Helping our Sales Partners create win-win scenarios  
  • Structured and execution orientated with close attention to detail
  • Adept at business partnering and working with cross functional teams, building meaningful business relationship along the way
  • Self- motivated and able to work under pressure, dependable with deliverables and deadlines, able to multi- task
  • Flexible to work extended hours during peak periods, especially end of financial periods/ quarters

Additional Skills That Could Set You Apart:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and Salesforce CRP/CPQ is preferred
  • Occasional travel may be required
