About the Role:

Sitecore is growing rapidly and seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to join our Finance team. This high-visibility role operates in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment, and the successful candidate must have the ability to work cross-functionally to gather requirements from stakeholders to design templates and automate reporting. You will streamline and build sustainable and repeatable reporting for various FP&A processes such as month-end close, forecasts, annual planning. You will collaborate across the accounting and finance organizations to provide insights and advice on how to improve data analysis and complete other ad hoc projects. As a Finance Analyst, you must be able to operate successfully in an ambiguous environment with several stakeholders and differing opinions, strong interpersonal and communication skills are a must. 


What You’ll Do:

  • The primary responsibilities of this role will be to build consistent and actionable management reporting tools and processes that provide visibility to key operational and financial performance metrics. This will require the ability to understand Sitecore’s data (e.g. financial data, billings and order data, CRM data), design reports, analyze data, and communicate results effectively to support business decision making. 
  • Proactively find opportunities to improve, scale, and simplify finance tools and reporting across teams; develop scalable and efficient financial processes that support the business.
  • Communicate with finance business partners, accounting teams, and the corporate Finance team to provide clear and transparent insight. Identify key stakeholders and partner with them to automate reporting and processes, address pain points with innovative solutions.
  • Financial Analysis:  Provide thoughtful analysis of financial and operational performance metrics, including explanations of performance relative to prior periods, budgets, and forecasts.  Analyze current and past trends in key performance. Perform a variety of financial activities including budgeting, forecasting, building financial models, assisting with financial planning, performing research and analysis, preparing reports, and working closely with the accounting team to assist with close processes.
  • Presentation Materials:  Support communications with senior management, the Board of Directors through the preparation of clear, accurate, and actionable financial presentations materials. Assist with the compilation of presentations for budget and QBR reviews.
  • Systems support:  Support the transition to and implementation of systems and tools that improve our ability to execute FP&A objectives through the documentation of business requirements and participation in user acceptance testing.  Serve as a super-user of key FP&A and Financial Reporting applications.


What You Need to Succeed:

  • 3+ years finance experience, preferably in the Technology or Software/SaaS environment.
  • Understanding of GAAP accounting principles and procedures, coordinate and support month-end close processes, operational accounting procedures, and financial reporting.
  • Excels at managing multiple competing priorities, is eager to make an impact on the business, and works cross-functionally to tackle complex problems. Software Industry experience.
  • Excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills with a high level of attention to detail and confidentiality when necessary; trust-building with stakeholders a must.
  • Ability to build template and standardize reporting.
  • Ability to analyze data, consolidate views, package and present it for Senior Leadership and C-level consumption.
  • Experience with Power BI, Adaptive Insights, Workday, NetSuite, and other FP&A software, and gravitates towards automating manual processes.
  • Takes pride in their work’s integrity, quality, and accuracy, is extremely detail-oriented and is comfortable asking questions.
  • Ability to work autonomously, to meet tight deadlines and deliver results, and to thrive in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
