About the Role: 
We are looking for an Engineering Manager with ultimate responsibility for the reliability of the Sitecore CDP Platform. Your role will be in the heart of Production Software working closely with Engineering teams ensuring our platform is performant, scalable, resilient, observable and available while also managing the process of incident resolution and actions.  As a key product stakeholder, you will manage resiliency backlog of the CDP as well as key projects such as integrating the tooling with the global Sitecore operational model. You will be responsible to improve the overall process and tooling of the operational parts of the platform.
What You’ll Do:  
  • Provide management oversight and hands-on execution for the stability, scalability, performance and observability for production software for the Sitecore CDP Platform
  • Manage the production incident process from the point of incident creation to resolution and post-mortem ensuring the process is efficient, repeatable and measurably improving
  •  Work with engineering and operations to define and improve the internal SLO’s of the platform and how they are measured, working with the business to turn them into SLAs for the customers where applicable
  •  Proactively identify and tooling and process to improve the overall reliability, measuring yourself and the teams against key KPIs such as SLOs, incident reduction, time for resolution and an increase in observability in the platform
  •  Manage the reliability backlog, working with dev managers, QA and other product owners to ensure system reliability items get prioritised and executed to the benefit of the reliability of the platform
  •  Leverage your technical and SME skills to help implement operational excellence and best practices
  •  Work closely and collaboratively with Customer Success Support for reliability managing their demands
  •  Manage project initiatives such as migrating the CDP operational model to the Sitecore model.
What You Need to Succeed:   
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience on production software in a development, leading or managerial role
  • Over 5 years of software engineering experience, building and maintaining scalable distributed systems with an understanding microservices and AWS
  •  A willingness to lead from the front and being ready to roll up your sleeves to tackle system reliability
  •  An ability to lead and make decisions calmly and under pressure even with the most ambiguous problems defining the way forward
  •  Ability to change the operational process for the better, bringing teams with you to make the changes happen
  •  Having a strong and proactive presence as well as stakeholder management is a must for this role
  •  Proven excellence in communication skills. With an ability to get your message to your teams and across the organisation you communicate transparently and effectively.
