About the Role:
Sitecore Unified DevOps Platform is the internal unified development platform, set of tools, services and underline infrastructure that is designed and developed to streamline, simplify and automate development process for all teams and projects in the company.
As a Senior DevOps Engineer for Sitecore Unified DevOps Platform (UDP), you will be responsible for developing and continuously improving the UDP in modern cloud & container technologies, with the goal of enabling stable and reliable CI/CD pipelines for Sitecore’s products and services. You will also be involved in cross-team collaborations for identifying operational challenges and driving solutions, and spreading DevOps mindset & best practices in a multi-cultural & multi-location working environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop, maintain & operate the tools, templated workflows, processes automation, self-hosted runners and artifact management systems to be used in CI/CD pipelines
- Develop, maintain & operate self-service capabilities and internal supporting web-services & plugins
- Create, maintain & operate the underlying infrastructure of the above UDP components
- Create and maintain the monitoring & alerting around the services and infrastructure of the above UDP components
- Resolve technical issues (with root cause analysis) of the UDP toolings/services and infrastructure
- Evangelize DevOps mindset, best practices and guidelines to the product teams via documentation, webinars and direct support/collaboration
What You Need to Succeed:
- 4+ years of experience in a DevOps role
- Hands on working experience with infra-as-code tools (e.g. Terraform) and configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible, Helm)
- Excelence with code based CI/CD tools (preferably GitHub Actions)
- Experience with containers & orchestration (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
- Proficiency in writing scripts in a standard scripting language (preferably Python, bash)
- Experience with monitoring systems & alerting tools (e.g. Prometheus/Grafana, Elastic/Kibana, AlertManager)
- Experience with cloud providers (preferably MS Azure)
- Knowledge with operating systems (Windows & Linux)
Additional Skills That Could Set You Apart:
- Strong understanding of SDLC, DevOps mindset and release process
- Experience with working in an Agile setup
- Experience with driving cross-team collaborations to identify operational challenges and to drive solutions
