Position Summary:

The ServiceNow Developer is responsible for working to develop, design and own technical solutions on the ServiceNow platform. The Service Now Developer will provide administration, application development, maintenance, and technical support by using good practice development techniques to configure solutions to the Business Owner utilizing the ServiceNow platform.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in requirements gathering, technical design sessions, software development, reviews, and, testing
  • Provide timely Tier II/III application support for both new and existing applications and workflows within ServiceNow
  • Perform application development and maintenance in a team environment utilizing ServiceNow
  • Work with Business Owners to translate business and functional requirements into a sustainable ServiceNow implementation.
  • Provide insight and expertise into the ServiceNow platform capabilities and roadmap

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ Years of experience as a Business Analyst / Architect for development and implementation projects
  • 5+ Years of experience performing ServiceNow analysis, architecture, and application development or a similar responsibility
  • 5+ Years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow Applications, such as Change Management, Service Catalog, Incident Management, Problem Management, Asset Management, Release Management, CMDB, Knowledge Management, Service Portal, etc.
  • 3+ years of experience with ServiceNow Portal/Portal Administration
  • Prior experience participating in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including analysis, design, coding, testing, and promotion into production
  • ITOM developer experience in some or all ITOM application areas (Discovery, Service Mapping, SAM, HAM, Event Management, Cloud Management, Operational Intelligence, Orchestration, Integration Hub/Spokes)
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.
  • Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects.
  • Ability to research technical problems and solutions, providing analysis and proposal for resolution
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of Web Technologies, such as Java scripting, XML, HTML, Ajax, CSS, JSON, Perl, Apache Jelly, jQuery, AngularJS, etc.
  • Excellent knowledge of ServiceNow best practices and ongoing knowledge of the latest ServiceNow features and functionality
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow Portal and Widgets
  • Knowledge of Windows, UNIX, or Linux systems, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Cloud
