Position Summary:

This position will own the subscriber forecasting and review process for various aspects of churn, including voluntary churn and non-pay churn. The individual will collaborate with various cross functional teams, including marketing, subscriber analytics, and Business Intelligence, to create a deep understanding of drivers of various churn metrics and will be the lead in establishing, reporting, and updating subscriber planning assumptions. Assist as needed in various other subscriber forecasting functions, including, but not limited to, renewal forecasting, win back projections, and aftermarket initiatives. Will supervise one Sr. Analyst. Represent Corporate Finance as a subject matter expert and ensures alignment on key cross-functional initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supports monthly, quarterly, and long-term subscriber forecasts.  
  • Develops forecasting models, identifies opportunities/risks, and creates original analysis for marketing and finance stakeholders. 
  • Represents the team as subject matter expert and primary source of contact on key subscriber metrics.
  • Collaborates with IT on automation of forecast models, design of KPI dashboards, investigation of anomalies, and prototypes of new data attributes
  • Takes initiative in identifying areas of opportunity and leads discussions in improving subscriber trends.
  • Collaborates with Marketing to create a deep understanding of business drivers and translates requests into actionable analytical models.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Manages one Sr. Analyst

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years or equivalent, relevant experience working in analytical or modeling role
  • Past experience in a subscriber forecasting organization preferred

  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

Technical Skills:

  • Intermediate to Advanced SQL skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Exposure to statistical analysis and tools a plus
  • Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
