Position Summary:

Stitcher is hiring a part-time Associate Producer to join a weekly show that is part of a label creating original content. Your main responsibilities will include working closely with the Senior Producer and production team performing research, audio editing, and providing editorial feedback during post production. Our ideal candidate has comfort with ProTools, enjoys a wide range of podcast genres, and enjoys learning about controversial issues.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist Senior Producer to bring weekly Unladylike episodes to fruition from pitch to final published episode, with potential to lead production on some episodes
  • Research show topics, identify and pre-interview potential interview subjects, book guests
  • Make tape selects, pull clips in ProTools
  • Assemble episodes in ProTools
  • Offer editorial feedback to hosts in interviews, tracking sessions and on drafts
  • Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, relevant experience
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience producing podcasts
  • Pro Tools fluency required

Requirements and General Skills:

  • Passion for telling stories about and explaining issues of gender & feminism
  • Superb script writing skills showing originality and humor
  • Creative problem-solving in editing stories and interviews
  • Excellent communication skills, written and spoken (especially on a remote team)
  • Scrupulous attention to detail, organization and punctuality
