Position Summary:

Plans and implements projects to complete deployments of new Telecom PBX systems.  Administers and maintains organization’s Telecommunications environment. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Diagnoses, identifies, researches and resolves problems associated with Genesys PBX, IVR, Call/Screen Recordings, VOIP and SIP technologies and software in a multi-datacenter and multi-call center environment.
  • Designs and implements solutions/changes in order support business requirements of the Connected Vehicle call center.
  • Reviews and establishes network requirements to provide necessary server network infrastructure for the organization. 
  • Participates in project planning related to increasing organization’s efficient IT functioning.
  • Implements new Telecom projects according to plan timelines.
  • Tests and analyzes software and hardware to evaluate ease of use and whether product will aid user in performing work.
  • Performs capacity planning across telecom infrastructure and services.
  • Writes evaluation of proposed upgrades and expansions to call center systems and makes recommendation for management review.
  • Responds to client inquiries concerning systems operation and diagnoses system hardware, software, and operator problems.
  • Reviews and troubleshoots implementation of software solutions and products to ensure that they meet the organization’s requirements.
  • Develops and implements disaster recovery procedures for the telecom infrastructure.
  • Observes server hardware, software and system functions to verify correct operations.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Systems Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 5-6+ years related experience in a computer/network operations environment.
  • 8+ years related Telecommunication Administration experience 
  • 3+ years’ experience with GCXI, Genesys GIR, & Genesys WFM.

Requirements and General Skills:

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work within all levels of the organization. 
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts and project management skills.
  • Works with other team members, including cross-functional teams, business users, and vendors. 
  • Mentors new and/or less experienced team members.
  • On call 24 x 7 to address any production impairments/outages
  • Occasionally work nights and/or weekend hours for major implementations to minimize impact on organization.

Technical Skills:

  • 5+ years of Genesys PBX implementation and support experience.
  • SIP and CTI experience are a plus.
  • 5+ years of VoIP experience.
