Position Summary:

The Performance Reporting team at SXM/Pandora supports the data infrastructure and reporting platform used to give insight into the effectiveness of advertising spend across SXM/Pandora inventory sources.

The ideal candidate will have outstanding leadership skills, be obsessed with execution, possess expert level skill at delivering software with multiple external dependencies, and place a high value on automated testing and production quality.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Recruit and hire great talent
  • Lead a team of 6-10 engineers, guiding their careers, writing performance reviews, and making compensation related decisions
  • Collaborate with product management to develop and maintain a technical roadmap for the team that clearly defines prioritization of feature development alongside engineering driven improvement efforts.
  • Manage and drive engineering quality of service initiatives to support the long-term technical health of the reporting platform
  • Lead the team in planning and execution of products in scrum-based and/or waterfall-based project styles
  • Ensure high quality shippable software deliverables are produced on a regular schedule

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly manage a team of 6-10 engineers.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ years leadership experience in a team lead, manager or senior manager role.

Requirements and General Skills:

  • Experience with cloud analytics services and data processing technologies (Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure).
  • Experience supporting and managing complex data engineering workflows with cloud orchestration technologies (Composer / Apache Airflow, Kubernetes).
  • Track record of delivering high quality data engineering pipelines that support sophisticated business critical reporting use cases.
  • Good public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects.
  • Ability to communicate clearly to stakeholder leads and teams.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

Technical Skills:

  • Thorough knowledge of Atlassian tools and Google Docs
