Description

The Role:
  • Working closely with the Global Claims Leadership team to manage the day-to-day claims relationship with Lloyd’s, to include ensuring internal and external KPI’s are monitored, analysed and reported to Lloyd’s and internal stakeholders.
  • Supporting the Global Claims Leadership team with departmental performance oversight.  Through influential leadership style and regular analysis of the data underpinning our performance, highlight improvement opportunities with the technical teams and assist with execution strategies. 
  • Ensure appropriate processes are in place to track, manage and report on KPI performance across SiriusPoint Lloyd’s and Company Market claims portfolios.   
  • Act as liaison for the SiriusPoint claims team on all claims related technology, compliance and efficiency initiatives being discussed and implemented in the London and Lloyd’s claims market. Acting as the gateway between the Market and our internal technology, operations, and claims teams. 
  • Liaising with Claims Operations to support the Implementation and day to day performance management of the SiriusPoint Claims Vendor panel as it extends to Lloyd’s and the London Market.
  • Oversee incoming claims Complaints, as defined in the SiriusPoint complaints Policy, and maintain a reporting framework in alignment with Claims Operations, liaising with the technical claims function and legal department to achieve appropriate resolution.
  • This role has opportunities to expand skillsets beyond London Market work, ie Solvency II and US regulatory claims management for the candidate who shows interest in learning and adding further value to the SiriusPoint global claim proposition. 

 

Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Continual analysis and review of key metrics used to drive Claims Department performance across both our Lloyd’s and Company platforms.
  • Implementation and day to day maintenance of reporting suites designed to ensure team KPI compliance and leadership and regulatory awareness and oversight.
  • Ownership and management of Static claims, Aged Incompletes, Reserve Adequacy and Accuracy metrics, implementing strategies to continually maintain performance and ensuring technical claim stakeholder compliance.
  • Take responsibility for monitoring technology and efficiency initiatives in the London Claims market, ensuring regular attendance at relevant market meetings, engaging with market stakeholders, and assessing suitability for SiriusPoint adoption.
  • Support the claims leadership with internal audit requirements aligned to Lloyd’s Minimum Standards and SiriusPoint group standards and controls. Escalation and reporting of results and working to rectify control failures where appropriate.

 

Technical Skills and Experience:
  • ACII qualified/part qualified or equivalent experience.
  • University Education or equivalent.
  • Previous or current claims handling experience, which could include General Liability, Property, Marine and/or specialty lines (D&O, Professional Indemnity, A&H). Proficiency in each type of claim listed is not required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to lead through influence across multiple stakeholder functions.
  • The ability to analyse data and use data to inform strategic decisions.
  • Working knowledge of the Lloyd’s Claims Scheme and Lloyd’s Delegated Oversight Framework.
  • Commitment to further training and knowledge gathering through attendance at market seminars, undertaking training courses and being active in relevant professional networks.
