Join Our Team  

You will be a Reinsurance Technical Accounting Assistant. Your role will be to assist in the day-to-day operations and deliverables of the UK Technical Accounting function, including recording & allocation of incoming/outgoing settlements in the accounting system (SICS), Weekly/Quarterly control reporting, allocation of LORS (Lloyds Outwards Reinsurance System) settlements against outwards reinsurance due balances and Overdue premium analysis.
You will report to the Head of Reinsurance Technical Accounting in London on all technical accounting matters. Additionally, the role requires significant proactive interaction with the Group technical accounting teams to ensure Group requirements are met and to create alignment of processes.
 
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Helping with the allocation of incoming/outgoing settlements in the accounting system (SICS)
  • Help with maintaining financial records, keeping accounts up to date with current transactions
  • Support the Weekly Control Reporting, (Unsettled balances, Unsettled Remittances, Transaction Control, Return Premium Control)
  • Ensuring timely and efficient settlement of Technical Payments
  • Support the allocation of LORS (Lloyds Outwards Reinsurance System) settlements against outwards reinsurance due balances
  • Recording of all technical accounting correspondence within iManage document management system
  • Assist in the development and improvement of existing UK/Group technical accounting processes
  • Assisting with any new system tests, changes and any process refinements in conjunction with the IT department
