Join Our Team  

You will be Capital & Financial Analyst and be key support player within SiriusPoint’s global Capital, Ratings, and Treasury team, whose remit includes capital stability and financial strength of the Group and its operating subsidiaries, effective management of rating agencies and regulators (key external stakeholders), and regulatory compliance, all while optimizing the same, and managing the related risks and opportunities. The analyst will assess risk exposure, maintain data integrity & controls, and improve model & analytical efficiency. Collaborating deeply with teammates, business and functional partners, the analyst will contribute to strategic decision-making, solvency calculation and stress testing across all capital and risk dimensions relevant to the Company. You will report to the Deputy Treasurer, Ratings & Capital & the Global Head of Capital Planning & Analytics with reporting lines to the Global Head of Capital, Ratings, Tax & Treasury.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • The analyst plays a key contribution role to reporting, modeling and analytics across rating agency and regulatory models (S&P, AM Best, Fitch, BSCR, Solvency II, NAIC RBC, PRA, Lloyd’s) to support the group and operating subsidiaries’ solvency positions, capital management initiatives and strategic capital allocation.
  • Maintain current reporting and forecasting solutions and be a key player in the development of new capital modeling reporting and forecasting solutions, considering the following central aspects:
    • Focus areas include solutions for improving data efficiency for key risk areas including investments, reserves, and premiums.
    • Maintain data integrity and consistent version handling.
    • Big Data analytics to provide timely and accurate data flow from source input and model output.
    • Integrate models with actual, forecast and plan data alignment.
    • Proactively reduce & minimize bottlenecks for reporting close periods.
  • Support the continued development and enhancements on internal economic capital model and stress testing to provide capital assessments under various economic and stress scenarios.
  • Collaborate with data owners and other stakeholders to understand business needs to design and implement advanced analytics solutions and presentation to business and function leads, senior management, and leadership teams.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust data pipelines to collect, transform, and load data from various sources into centralized data platform.
  • Perform data cleansing, transformation, and aggregation to prepare data for analysis.
  • Implement data quality checks and ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain data models, schemas / metadata, and DataMart to support reporting and data analytics.
  • Optimize calculation processes to improve speed, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Participate in and contribute to the developing operating model for capital modeling, with a focus on improving data management/mapping especially premiums, reserves, and related data.

Your skills and abilities should include:

  • Bachelors degree or higher
  • At least 3 years hands on experience in financial modeling
  • Proficiency in Excel including complex modeling and pivot tables
  • Understanding of and/or experience with insurance carrier finance and capital
  • Hands on experience with managing and analyzing insurance carrier data (including premiums and reserves) strongly preferred

SALARY:  The estimated salary range for this position is $130,000 per year to $150,000 per year. This is a good-faith assessment of the salary range for this position only.  In determining the actual salary within this range, SiriusPoint will consider a candidate’s relevant experience, location, and other job-related factors.
