Join Our Team
  • You will be the Senior Claims Adjuster, MGA & Program Claims. You will report to the Head of MGA & Program Claims. You will be responsible for day-to-day oversight of all delegated claim handling under Lloyd’s Binders / Programs / MGAs / Coverholder arrangements across our Syndicate and Company Platforms. You will be providing authority to settle and reserve claims above Delegated Authorities, auditing and performance monitoring outsourced claim handling.   
    Claims Handling could be in-house with the MGA/Coverholder or with DCAs/TPAs who direct handle claims under the arrangement. This role will also assist in coordinating initial and annual due diligence of claim handling entities.   
      
    Key responsibilities:  
    • Oversight of Delegated claim handling entities associated with Binders/Programs/MGAs/Coverholders to ensure authority is not breached, claims reporting is accurate and timely, consumer and customer service is compliant, quality auditing, and general monitoring of reserving and loss exposure. 
    • Portfolio trend analysis and its reporting to senior stakeholders.
    • Oversight of reserve accuracy and reserve adequacy metrics relating to both within and above Delegated Authority claims.  
    • Establish and maintain appropriate internal claims reporting for large and/or topical claims.  
    • Interpret and adjudicate Policy coverage upon referral from the Program/MGA and/or their claims handling entity.  
    • Instruction and ongoing performance management of Legal and Adjusting vendors at both panel, and individual claim level.  
    • Ensure early escalation of large and topical claims arising under the various delegated arrangements and ensuring that effective internal triage measures are in place.   
      
    Technical Skills & Experience:  
    • Significant claims handling experience, which could include General Liability, Property, and some specialty lines (D&O, Professional Indemnity, A&H). Proficiency in each type of claim listed is preferred but not required.
    • The ability to analyze claims data and use data to inform strategic decisions at both an individual claim and portfolio level.  
    • Working knowledge of the Lloyd’s Claims Scheme and Lloyd’s Delegated Oversight Framework.
    • The ability to represent the company (and its clients) effectively and professionally within the market. 
    • Strong IT skills, including knowledge of ECF.
