The Legal, Governance and Company Secretarial Analyst role at SiriusPoint offers a broad opportunity to engage in legal, regulatory and company secretarial work ensuring a balanced and varied portfolio of legal and regulatory activities. 
This role presents an opportunity to expand and develop new skills and knowledge across the legal and regulatory fields of financial services. Oversight, delivery and implementation of key regulatory and governance initiatives as an integral part of the Legal and Compliance function offers a unique dimension and career path combined with support in company secretarial disciplines. 
 
Key Accountabilities: 
 
Legal & Compliance Activities 
▪        Opportunity to work on and learn a wide spectrum of legal and compliance activities will exist with supervision and training as appropriate, spanning legal & insurance contract review, regulatory compliance and other activities undertaken within the wider legal department. 
 
Regulatory & Governance Activities 
▪        Horizon scanning in respect of corporate, governance and regulatory matters, and supporting the Head of Legal & Compliance, UK to advise the Board and Executive as appropriate, including preparing and implementing action plans to ensure compliance where necessary. 
▪        Providing advice on and facilitating compliance with relevant statutory and regulatory governance requirements. 
▪        Supporting and coordinating corporate projects of business changes or continuous improvement initiatives, for example, international expansion, corporate finance transactions, corporate reorganisations or closure of dormant companies. 
▪        Providing advice on and facilitating compliance with the FCA and PRA Senior Managers Regime, working closely with the Human Resources function. 
 
Company Secretariat Activities: 
 
▪        Reviewing and maintaining relevant Committee Terms of Reference and other key governance documents. 
▪        Oversight, advocacy and support to management in ensuring good standards of governance at management committees. 
▪        Maintaining relevant registers, statutory books, and administration systems. 
▪        Coordinating director induction and onboarding and the annual director training programme. 
▪        Maintaining and embedding policies owned by Company Secretarial and promoting good corporate governance.
