Join Our Team
You will be part of the Finance Operations team, part of the wider Finance organization. You will report to the Head of Direct & Ceded Technical Accounting.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Oversee MGA (Managing General Agent) and Delegated Authority technical bookings and settlements for both Lloyds syndicate and European entities
- Manage the successful onboarding of new MGA and Delegated Authority programs by working with Underwriting, Claims, and external parties
- Create robust collections process to ensure timely settlement of premium and loss accounts
- Harmonize processes and controls around missing accounts, settlements, and unallocated cash
- Conduct Finance Operations accounting process for MGA and Delegated Authority programs to ensure data is correctly coded, entered, reconciled, unapplied cash is cleared; and underwriting results reported accurately
- Oversee MGA/TPA imprest accounts, trusts, funds held, cash loss advances, etc.
- Establish strong relationships with external MGA partners, brokers, and reinsurers to address outstanding queries and overdue collections
- Develop and maintain processes for operating and SOX controls for both Lloyds and non-Lloyds business
- Provide support for GAAP, Statutory audits for internal and external auditors
- Collaborate with senior finance leadership and coworkers

Your skills and abilities should include:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business or similar. ACCA, CIMA, or similar accounting designation a plus
- Have intermediate to advanced knowledge with eMessaging, Bureau settlements, LORS, Faster Claims Payment, etc.
- Knowledge and ability to interpret Binder Agreements and Program Management Agreements
- Minimum 7 years of experience within Insurance Finance Operations for MGA and Delegated Authority Business
- Experience with SICS (DXC) system a plus
- Strong leadership skills to manage processes and team members
- Excellent verbal and written skills to effectively communicate with senior management and external parties
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills
- Ability to take responsibility, work proactively and continuously improve activities in complex, quickly transforming environments
- Broad knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel}
