Facilities Technician (Contract)

We are looking for a Facility Technician (Temporary) who can perform a variety of facility support duties such as handle small physical repairs, assist with day-to-day operations which includes preventive maintenance.  You will possess the ability to complete tasks and projects in a timely manner, react with appropriate urgency to situations that require immediate attention and resolution, and be professional when dealing with people inside and outside of the company.  As a bonus, you will enjoy being part of a dynamic team and have a good sense of humor.

What you’ll do:

  • Handle minor maintenance tasks such as hang whiteboards, change light bulbs, replace ceiling tiles, and minor painting
  • Stock kitchen and office supplies
  • Help with setup and cleanup of catered lunches
  • Oversee as-needed cleaning of the facility and premises beyond the regular custodial services
  • Manage event and conference rooms setups and resets
  • Respond to internal facility help tickets as assigned
  • Coordinate and escort vendors to perform major facility maintenance and repairs
  • Conduct routine physical inspection of the facility and facilitate the required repair, maintenance, or cleanup
  • Perform other related duties as needed and assigned

What you’ll bring: 

  • 2+ years of facilities maintenance experience
  • High school diploma (trade school and electrical or plumbing certifications a plus)
  • Good verbal and written skills
  • Customer focused and display a professional demeanor
  • Experience with a computer
  • Valid California driver’s license with a safe driving record
  • Capable of lifting 50+ pounds
  • Proficient with hand and power tools
  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time and capable of extensive bending, stooping, climbing, pushing, and carrying
