The Role

As a member of CAD team you will help IC, Package, Module and PCB co design using standardized flow. The candidate will work closely with design, packaging and CAD groups along with EDA vendors to capture design intent, create physical data base, generate EM model for supporting analog/RF simulation, conduct design validation and signoff. Candidate will help refine methodologies and guide flow development for die modeling, package modeling, package extraction, die/package analysis, multi die module analysis and package EM analysis. Candidate should be very detail oriented and have good experience in working with industry standard tools. Candidate should be a self-starter comfortable working as an individual or in a team. 

Key Qualifications

  • MSEE and 5+ years experience in IC, package, module and PCB design, modeling and application
  • Familiar with time domain and frequency domain simulations of IC/Pkg co design
  • Good knowledge of Electromagnetic theory, SI/PI flows
  • Knowledge of S-Parameter models vs. lumped element models and their applications
  • Good knowledge of IC and package simulation and EM (electro-magnetic) modeling tools like EMX or Sigrity SI or Ansys
  • Familiar with Cadence Allegro tools (PD/SiP layout, Sigrity SI, PCB)
  • Familiar with power analysis tool like Voltus
  • Familiar with thermal and mechanical analysis
  • Strong EE fundamentals
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently is critical
