Position Summary

Sikich is seeking an experienced Account Executive to drive growth for our Salesforce consulting practice. This role is responsible for a combination of new client acquisition and expansion within existing accounts, emphasizing consultative selling of Salesforce-related solutions. The ideal candidate has a strong background in enterprise B2B sales (10+ years), including 5+ years in the Salesforce ecosystem selling within the financial services industry, and is adept at engaging C-level stakeholders. You will leverage your Salesforce knowledge and industry expertise to identify opportunities and client needs, develop strategic account relationships, craft tailored proposals, and win high-value advisory and consulting engagements.

What will you do in this role?

  • Drive revenue growth by developing both new business opportunities and expanding existing client relationships for Salesforce consulting and implementation services. Own the full sales cycle from opportunity identification through close.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new leads while partnering with existing clients to uncover additional business needs and growth opportunities. Build a robust pipeline through networking, cold outreach, industry events, Salesforce partner channels, referrals, and account planning.
  • Engage C-level executives and senior stakeholders at prospective and existing clients to understand their business goals, current challenges, and CRM needs. Use a consultative approach to uncover pain points and align them with Salesforce-based solutions.
  • Clearly communicate the value of our Salesforce consulting services. Present how Salesforce products and our firm's expertise can address each client's specific needs. Tailor presentations and demonstrations to highlight relevant industry use cases and business outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with pre-sales solution architects and consultants to prepare demonstrations, technical deep-dives, and solution recommendations. Ensure proposed solutions are feasible and align with client objectives.
  • Develop compelling proposals, RFP responses, and Statements of Work (SOWs) for Salesforce projects. Lead contract negotiations while addressing client concerns and ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Consistently meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas across both new logo acquisition and account expansion.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in CRM. Track pipeline health, forecast opportunities, and report progress toward sales goals.
  • Build and nurture relationships with Salesforce Alliance Managers, Account Executives, and other ecosystem partners. Coordinate co-selling activities, joint account planning, and referral campaigns within the Financial Services industry.

What do you need to succeed in this role?

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 5+ years selling Salesforce consulting or implementation services within the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Strong understanding of the Financial Services industry, with emphasis on insurance. Familiarity with industry business processes and challenges (customer onboarding, policy/portfolio management, compliance, etc.) and how CRM solutions support these functions.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Salesforce product suite and ecosystem, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Financial Services Cloud. Ability to articulate Salesforce capabilities, integrations, and the value of digital transformation initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success exceeding sales targets through a combination of new business development and growing existing client accounts. Ability to cite examples of six-figure (or larger) consulting engagements and consistent quota attainment.
  • Experience managing complex enterprise sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and procurement processes.
  • Strong relationship-building and account management skills with the ability to develop trusted advisor relationships across executive, business, and technical stakeholders. An existing network within the financial services industry is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to sell consultative services by diagnosing customer needs and developing tailored business solutions. Experience selling professional services or consulting engagements is highly preferred.
  • Experience working for a Salesforce consulting partner or CRM consulting firm in a sales capacity is preferred. Understanding of project scoping, Statements of Work, delivery cycles, and long-term client success is highly valued.
  • Ability to travel 20%–40%.
