Position summary

Tantus, a Sikich Subsidiary, is seeking a Shared Services Line of Business (LOB) Lead that will be responsible for overseeing the execution, coordination, and delivery of program and technical activities within the CMS/CCSQ Shared Services LOB. The LOB Lead ensures alignment between program execution and CCSQ strategic priorities while maintaining transparency, coordination, and accountability across projects, teams, and stakeholders. Operating within a complex federal health IT environment, this role provides leadership across cross-functional teams and ensures that program activities are effectively coordinated, risks and dependencies are managed, and deliverables are aligned with CMS objectives and operational requirements.

What will you do in this role?

LOB Leadership and Oversight

  • Provide leadership, direction, and oversight across cross-functional program and project teams, including managing team performance and ensuring alignment to LOB priorities.
  • Ensure alignment of LOB activities with CCSQ strategic priorities and portfolio objectives.
  • Coordinate across program, technical, and operational teams to ensure cohesive execution of work.
  • Monitor progress across LOB initiatives and ensure timely delivery of milestones and deliverables.
  • Oversee day-to-day execution across LOB teams, ensuring effective coordination, accountability, and delivery performance.

Program Coordination and Execution

  • Oversee coordination of program activities across multiple projects and workstreams within the LOB.
  • Ensure alignment between project schedules, priorities, and dependencies.
  • Support planning and execution of key program activities, including PI Planning, governance meetings, and program reviews.
  • Facilitate resolution of cross-team dependencies and execution challenges.

Reporting and Performance Management

  • Ensure development and delivery of LOB-level reporting, including program status, risks, and performance metrics.
  • Provide visibility into LOB performance through dashboards, executive summaries, and status updates.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of data used in reporting and decision-making.
  • Support tracking and reporting of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), and other program performance indicators.

Risk, Issue, and Dependency Management

  • Oversee identification, tracking, and mitigation of risks, issues, and dependencies across the LOB.
  • Ensure risks are documented and maintained in appropriate tools (e.g., Jira).
  • Coordinate with program and project teams to monitor mitigation strategies and escalate issues as needed.
  • Ensure alignment with CMS risk management processes and frameworks.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication

  • Serve as a key point of coordination between LOB teams, CCSQ leadership, and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure clear and consistent communication of priorities, progress, and decisions across stakeholders.
  • Support preparation and delivery of executive-level materials, briefings, and updates.
  • Facilitate stakeholder alignment across cross-functional teams and program areas.

Governance and Process Alignment

  • Ensure implementation and adherence to program governance structures and processes.
  • Ensure alignment with portfolio management practices, standards, and tools.
  • Contribute to development and refinement of governance processes and program management practices.
  • Promote consistency, transparency, and accountability across LOB activities.

Ad Hoc Program Support

  • Provide leadership support for emerging, time-sensitive, or high-visibility program needs.
  • Support special initiatives, leadership requests, and cross-program coordination efforts.
  • Ensure responsiveness to evolving CCSQ priorities while maintaining alignment with program standards. 

What do you need to succeed in this role?

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS)
  • 10+ years of experience supporting program or project management in a federal IT or health IT environment
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating complex program activities
  • Experience supporting program governance, reporting, and stakeholder engagement
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills 
  • Familiarity with CCSQ LOBs (HQR, QPP, CQP/QIO, iQIES, EQRS) or similar quality reporting programs
  • PMP and/or SAFe Agile certification
  • Prior experience supporting CMS/CCSQ programs
  • Experience supporting portfolio-level coordination and governance
  • Experience managing risks, dependencies, and cross-program coordination
  • Experience developing executive-level reporting and dashboards

Preferred Certifications & Qualifications

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $150,000 - $160,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
