LENDER SERVICES (LS)

Working in a fast-paced environment while also dealing hands-on with valued clients, LS professionals at Sikich are highly motivated and detail-oriented individuals. Professionals in this field possess excellent communication skills and are comfortable providing strategic and tactical lender advice and recommendations to firm clients. Our LS professionals utilize technology to deliver effective client solutions and spend time researching new and developing changes in the field. Sikich’s LS team members are educated in finance, accounting and related fields.  The LS team assists clients with lender due diligence, field examinations, and various financial consulting projects forbank and non-bank lenders.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and lead LS Team 
• Manage LS team responsibilities and work with Directors and Partners on a regular basis
• Assist and maintain an updated budget and fee analysis
• Ability to service multiple chargeable client engagements simultaneously 
• Review and continuously evaluate reports and projects from LS Team related to clients
• Lead the collateral analysis for field exams
• Consult financial statement information (income statements, balance sheets, and other reports) and provide thoughtful business observations and conclusions
• Consult and support LS team members in the development of high-level reports and client presentations to support business strategy and need
• Propose solutions to lender risks and problem solution tactics
• Participate in the active recruitment and training of new LS team members, specifically Associates
• Active participation in team meetings, calls, client relations and serve as secondary point of contact for clients when needed
• Actively engages and seeks new business opportunities for aspects of LS and the firm

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in an audit or transaction advisory practice within a national or regional public accounting or consulting firm
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Strong project management experience
• Travel on an as-needed basis

Preferred Skills

• Demonstrated experience networking and communicating with lender advisory executives
• CPA certification
• Exceptional balance of strong audit skills and business acumen 
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with in-house team members and outside prospects and clients of the firm
• Ability to be self-starter and confident when interacting with clients and asking questions 
• Ability to operate within tight deadlines and take responsibility for completing an engagement in a timely manner
• Ability to apply critical thought and problem-solving skills 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
