Position summary
As a Senior D365 Business Central Consultant – Dealer Services / Equipment Management, you will play a critical role in leading and delivering ERP implementations for clients in the Dealer Services and Equipment vertical. You will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, leveraging deep industry and application expertise to design, implement, and optimize Business Central solutions. This role requires a high level of autonomy, strong client-facing skills, and the ability to guide both clients and internal team members through complex implementations.
Senior Consultants are expected to take ownership of solution design, lead key workstreams, proactively identify risks and opportunities, and mentor less-experienced consultants while collaborating closely with project managers and leadership.
What will you do in this role?
- Serve as a Senior functional consultant and subject matter expert for Dealer Services / Equipment Management clients across Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central implementations, upgrades, and support engagements.
- Lead and actively participate in solution design workshops, requirements gathering sessions, and user acceptance testing, ensuring alignment with client business processes and industry best practices.
- Act as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders, providing strategic guidance on system capabilities, process optimization, and long-term scalability.
- Own functional workstreams on multiple concurrent implementations, coordinating closely with project managers, technical teams, and client leadership.
- Proactively identify project risks, dependencies, and opportunities for process improvement, escalating and recommending mitigation strategies as needed.
- Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations clearly to internal leadership and client stakeholders.
- Contribute to and review client-facing deliverables, including functional design documents, training materials, process flows, and post-go-live support documentation.
- Mentor and support Consultants and Associate Consultants through coaching, knowledge sharing, and review of deliverables.
- Provide input into estimation, solution approach, and SOW development for Dealer Services / Equipment Management engagements.
- Suggest and help implement improvements to internal methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Foster teamwork and maintain an inclusive, collaborative environment.
- Remote role with travel to client sites, as needed.
What do you need to succeed in this role?
- BS/BA degree or equivalent industry experience, preferably within a professional services or management consulting environment.
- 5+ years of experience in the Dealer Services / Dealer Equipment vertical.
- 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV and/or D365 Business Central, including full-cycle implementations.
- Strong experience leading software implementations, including requirements gathering, solution design, testing, and go-live support.
- Experience with Dysel’s Equipment Life Cycle (ELC) software strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with vertical-specific ISV solutions, reporting tools, Field Service, and the Power Platform.
- Demonstrated ability to lead client-facing discussions and workshops with confidence and professionalism.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
- Ability to manage priorities across multiple projects while meeting client and leadership expectations.
In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the midpoint of the salary range for this role is $120,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
