Designer – Campaigns

Shutterfly is looking for a talented Designer with great concepting skills and the ability to deliver powerful creative solutions across print and digital channels. We are a photography company at heart, and our vision is to help people share life's joy. We inspire millions of people to be creative in preserving their memories and sharing their stories. As Designer, you will be responsible for developing strong creative concepts that connect with the consumer. You will work closely with the Art Directors and Copywriters to deliver creative that captures the Shutterfly brand.


  • Lead design and drive concepts for multiple projects (print & digital) ensuring creative meets briefs and objectives
  • Generate new ideas for seasonal campaigns, new initiatives and sitewide sales
  • Manage the logistics of day-to-day projects and prioritize design tasks within the workflow
  • Partner with the internal photo art director to bring design ideas to life through imagery
  • Understand the internal photography process and how it works with design
  • Able to efficiently operate in a fast pace environment
  • Flexible and adaptable to changes in business requests and able to provide smart solutions to design challenges in a short timeframe
  • Able to operate independently in developing thoughtful designs
  • Follow through with projects from start to finish, while gaining creative leads alignment and approval in design direction
  • Continuously work to enhance competencies—including but not limited to design skills, presentation skills, communication and time management


  • A killer portfolio that reflects strong design concepts and campaign work for print and digital
  • Exceptional design sensibility and attention to detail
  • Passion for design, experience with branding and visual design systems 
  • Willing to stay on top of design trends and industry best practices
  • Works collaboratively in a team environment, and works well with direction from the
    Art Director/Creative Director
  • Self-directed, extremely organized and can manage oversight on multiple projects
  • Has advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator)
  • Knows how design works effectively within an online user experience and how marketing
    design works to enhance the customer experience
  • Has a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from a 4-year University
    or College of Art or equivalent
  • Has 2-4 years experience working as a Designer or Junior Designer at an e-commerce company or design agency
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Sense of humor ability to have fun in the workplace an added bonus!
