Description

Shutterfly is seeking a Graphic Designer to join the Creative Team to work on creative campaigns and help support all design projects from print and web, to mobile and display. Our Graphic Designer will hit the ground running and get their hands on many different projects and tasks. Our team is responsible for innovative concepts that turn into dynamic visual expressions of curated categories within the Core Shutterfly Business. The team is lean and mean, made up of writers and designers who work closely on executing the creative vision of the Creative Director.  

 

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work across all of our channels: print, online, site, email, display, social, mobile
  • Support Senior Designers, Art Directors and the Creative Director to bring our brand to life across all marketing materials
  • Work within the requirements of our creative process (timelines, deliverables, partnerships with business owners)
  • Ensure efficient, high quality and timely production of designs and all work

  ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent type and layout skills paired with a strong aesthetic
  • Understanding of typography and designing to convey clear messaging hierarchy
  • Experience in retail, fashion, e-commerce a plus
  • Software skills must-haves: Creative Suite, Sketch
  • Ability to prioritize workloads and manage multiple projects simultaneously, while maintaining the flexibility to change task and project directional priorities
  • Executes design work in a quick and efficient manner with great attention to detail  
  • Is able to work well within a team environment, have good communications skills and is able to take direction from Senior Designers, Art Directors or the Creative Director  
  • Enthusiastic, fun, engaging designer who operates effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and wants to learn and grow 
  • Great sense of humor (required)  
  • Shows professionalism in all aspects of their daily tasks  
  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Design from a 4-year University or Art College
  • Ideally, 3-5 years experience as an in-house or agency designer
  • Portfolio that can show off your skills
