Role Description

The role of Senior Director, Human Resources is the HR Business Partner to one of our C Suite members and the Field organization under the Lifetouch brand. This individual will act as a strategic thought partner to the executives and will have a business-focused mindset to help translate business objectives to human capital strategies. The individual will have responsibility for clients in multiple geographic locations and partner with the HR leadership team on planning and delivering HR programs and services to the business.

 Specific responsibilities include:

  • Serve as a strategic business partner to senior leadership focused on a transformational talent agenda designed to attract, develop and retain the best talent in the industry
  • Partner with the business on organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and skills assessment
  • Analyze business unit data to identify trends and recommend innovative solutions to improve performance, retention, engagement and employee experience
  • Support leaders in areas such as leadership development, performance management, employee relations, compensation, and career development
  • Manage a team of HR Business Partners 
  • Provide management coaching to build leadership capabilities and to address employee issues; working with people managers and employees to address all types of employee relations issues ensuring a balanced perspective
  • Assess the organization’s training needs and leverage our Learning & Development organization to meet those needs
  • Build employee-friendly processes and understanding the value of being a service organization

  • Currently a Director or above for an ecommerce/retail company (or related business) with 1000+ employees and revenues over $500M. 15+ years of progressively responsible experience in HR generalist
  • Bachelor’s Degree is required. Masters Degree or MBA strongly preferred along with SPHR or SHRM certification.

  • Organizational Design:  Demonstrated ability to use a systems perspective to diagnose an organization and facilitate process improvements, including the right org design to meet the needs of the business
  • Employee Effectiveness:  Demonstrated ability to keep in touch with the workforce, anticipating employee reaction and impact of business decisions
  • Employee Relations: Understanding of basic employment law and ability to effectively navigate difficult employee relations issues
  • Performance Management:  Knowledge of the process of performance management that includes defining success, establishing measurements, providing feedback and rewarding performance
  • Workforce Planning:  Demonstrated ability to identify the HR implications of the business plan and develop and implement solutions to meet identified needs
  • Talent Management: Ability to effectively manage talent via core people processes such as succession planning; experience designing and implementing a Learning & Development strategy
