Graphic Designer – Consumer Product Design

Summary:

The Graphic Designer is responsible for designing and developing consumer products solutions. You’ll create original concepts and ensure product designs are relevant in the market, within brand standards, and aligned with business strategies.
What you’ll do here:
- Collaborates with schools and sales organization to create custom yearbook cover designs
- Host online design sessions with customers
- Create product solutions that enhance photography for the various Lifetouch businesses
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop consumer product solutions that drive business results and customer engagement
- Responsible for accurate delivery of design files to internal and external production vendors following file specifications
- Other duties as assigned
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field or equivalent related experience
The Skills You’ll Bring
- PORTFOLIO OR WEBSITE REQUIRED AT TIME OF APPLICATION
- 3-5 years of design experience
- Portfolio showcasing print-based projects, hand-lettering skills preferred
- Appreciation of typography, layout, composition, and color
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- Thrives in a collaborative team environment but also excels at working independently
- Willingness to be flexible with tasks on a day-to-day basis and evolve role as required by the needs of the team
- A great attitude and flexibility towards business and it’s ever-changing, sometimes ambiguous nature
- Sense of humor and the ability to have fun doing what you love
Other (knowledge, skills, and abilities)
- Proficient in Creative Suite for digital and print
- Microsoft applications, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Experience working in a cross-functional environment
- Has a portfolio that reflects design sensibility, attention to detail, clean and modern aesthetic
- Good organizational skills
- Good communication skills
- Detail oriented in the execution and follow-up of work
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently as well as balance and execute against multiple projects/priorities simultaneously
- Able to react quickly and be adaptable to inevitable changes and shifts
- Proactive problem-solving abilities with strong sense of urgency
