We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team! This position can be based out of the following Shutterfly locations: Eden Prairie, MN; Tempe, AZ or Fort Mill, SC.

What You’ll Do Here:

  • Understanding of Azure Infrastructure and including and not limited to Azure AD, IaaS, PaaS, Virtual Machines, AVD, AFS, automation, self-service deployment via terraform etc.
  • Experience with SolarWinds including and not limited to patching, re-engineering, also troubleshooting.
  • Experience in Jira, confluence, and GitHub cloud and on-premises
  • Maintain, deploy and engineer product stacks in Linux and Windows 
  • Strong documentation background. Need to be able to provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure so a tiered support model can be performed.
  • Office 365 collaboration and Google workspace experience.
  • Experience with PowerShell and other scripting languages.
  • Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues.
  • Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
  • Work tickets assigned to the Service Now queue, work, and assign based on the needs.

The Skills You’ll Bring:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required
  • 3-5 years of database, network administration, or system administration experience
  • Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools
  • Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols
  • Proven experience as an Azure Cloud Engineer or similar role, with hands-on experience in designing, deploying, and managing Azure resources.
  • Strong proficiency in Azure services such as Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Azure App Services, Azure SQL Database, Azure Functions, etc.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, ARM templates, or similar technologies.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for CI/CD, such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and identity management in the context of Azure.
  • Scripting proficiency in languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
  • Relevant Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer) are a strong plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
