The Position

The Senior Manager, 3rd Party Marketplaces Strategy is responsible for the growth strategy and partnerships of our third party marketplaces channels and the distribution of Spoonflower products and data feeds to all external digital marketing partners.   This role will be focused on enhancing and expanding our presence on 3rd party marketplaces in order to drive incremental sales, increase brand awareness, acquire new customers and test into new products and offerings. This position will report to the Sr. Director, Performance Marketing.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Create and execute Spoonflower’s 3rd Party Marketplaces strategy driving significant growth in the organization
  • Manage, grow, and lead a team responsible for optimizing and managing 12+ Spoonflower 3rd party marketplace shops (Etsy, Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Instagram/FB, etc.) and 25+ digital marketing feeds globally
  • Develop Spoonflower’s goals across our marketplace channels and develop a strategic plan to drive results to achieve those goals.
  • Develop and prioritize strategic roadmap and programs for the department, including things such as new channels, product launches, merchandising of product listings and data, and store optimizations
  • Actively execute, manage, optimize, and report on all paid advertising for 3rd party marketplace channels
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Operations, Engineering, and Customer Service teams to ensure we are meeting or exceeding all marketplace health requirements, customer expectations, and internal needs.
  • Maintain a high level of industry knowledge and expertise on 3rd party marketplaces, performance marketing, and ecommerce.
  • Collect, analyze, and report out data on program KPIs on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly cadence across the organization
  • Identify and interpret data and trends to create actionable insights and increase customer acquisition and sales growth
  • Manage and negotiate all agreements with 3rd party marketplace partners and grow strategic relationships to open up new opportunities and resolve roadblocks or challenges
  • Ongoing evaluation of business processes and metrics with a view toward continuous improvement

Who You Are

  • A BA/BS (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience managing and growing a multi-disciplinary team
  • 5+ years of experience developing and executing growth strategies for 3rd party marketplaces
  • Creative problem solver
  • Proven results in making data driven decisions to achieve team goals
  • Desire and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects and evolving priorities.
  • Experience working in high-pressure situations with demonstrated effectiveness in managing high risk situations.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; the ability to adapt communication style appropriately.
  • ChannelAdvisor (or related feed management software) and API integration experience a plus
