We are looking for a collaborative and highly motivated communications expert to fill the role of Senior Manager of Corporate Communications and PR.

Senior Manager of Corporate Communications and PR

The person in this role will create corporate communications initiatives to drive results and increase awareness of the Shutterfly family of brands, reporting to the Director of Corporate Communications and PR. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing plans with processes, strategies, messaging and tactics to support strategic communications and business needs.

What You'll Do Here:

  • Create and execute thought leadership and product PR programs to increase awareness of the Shutterfly family of brands and executives based on relevant trends and business priorities.
  • Drive media relations, materials development, measurement and reporting for proactive and reactive media activities.
  • Construct messages, content, assets and media analysis to deliver compelling pitch kits for technology and business press.
  • Manage crisis communications and brand reputation activities.
  • Develop comprehensive communications plans, strategies and processes to drive consistency across audiences.
  • Support executive communications programs and develop activities to advance conversations on key focus areas.
  • Manage the calendar and content for the Shutterfly press center and corporate blog.
  • Work closely with the marketing, social and product teams to align on plans and measurement.
  • Support ongoing communications campaigns for the Shutterfly family of brands across a diverse group of internal and external audiences.
  • Organize cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive and consistent communications strategies to address evolving business needs and market trends. 

The Skills You'll Bring: 

  • 10+ years of experience in PR, media relations or corporate communications focused on retail/ecommerce, consumer packaged goods, consumer technology across multiple brands, or related field
  • Bachelor's degree in PR, communications, business, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Ability to cultivate strong relationships with business, technology and consumer media
  • Proven experience working with executives and cross-functional teams on strategic communications plans to meet evolving business needs
  • Highly motivated and collaborative team player with a positive attitude
  • Natural storyteller with excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Creative problem solver with strong relationship management skills
  • Expertise dealing with issues and crisis management
  • Proactive and persistent approach to getting results
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Experience working in both agency and inhouse communications teams a plus, but not required
