 As an Agile Technical Product Owner at Shutterfly, you will be at the forefront of our agile product development process. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, prioritize backlogs, and champion agile methodologies to ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of our technical products. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of agile frameworks, technical acumen, and a passion for fostering collaboration across teams. 
What You’ll Do Here: 
  • Identify and manage dependencies between items to optimize development workflows.
  • Coordinate with other Product Managers and teams to synchronize cross-functional dependencies.
  • Regularly conduct backlog refinement sessions with cross-functional teams to ensure a well-prioritized and groomed backlog.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback and incorporate it into the product backlog.
  • Develop and implement a robust prioritization framework that considers business value, customer impact, and technical dependencies.
  • Work with stakeholders to align on priorities and adjust the backlog accordingly.
  • Proactively identify and address potential risks related to backlog items.
  • Strategically prioritize backlog items to mitigate critical risks early in the development process.
  • Define and track key metrics related to backlog health.
  • Generate regular reports for stakeholders, providing insight into backlog status and upcoming priorities.
  • Ensure the backlog is easily accessible to all team members and stakeholders.
  • Implement tools and practices for remote team members to contribute effectively to backlog discussions.
  • Implement strategies to prevent backlog bloat and maintain a streamlined, focused backlog.
The Skills You’ll Bring: 
  • Minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience owning multiple product backlogs
  • Proven experience as an Agile Technical Product Manager or in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
  • Strong technical background with the ability to understand and communicate technical concepts effectively.
  • Experience with agile methodology and engineering management tools (e.g., Jira, Product Board, Wiki, etc.).
  • Ability to adapt to change and thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Communicate and collaborate with existing system support staff to share system enhancement opportunities for the current systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Business).
