The role of Senior Director, Human Resources is the HR Business Partner to the Lifetouch General Manager and a liaison for all Lifetouch people and HR needs, along with responsibility for Diversity, Equity and inclusion for the Lifetouch. This individual will act as a strategic thought partner to the executives, lead the HRBP functions and will have a business-focused mindset to help translate business objectives to human capital strategies. This role will drive succession planning, talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, and the overall cultural transformation. This role will also be responsible for executing against the company-wide DEI strategies for Lifetouch, as well as overseeing the programs supporting this work. 

 Specific responsibilities include:

  • Serve as a strategic business partner to senior leadership focused on a transformational talent agenda designed to attract, develop and retain the best talent in the industry
  • Partner with the business on organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and skills assessment
  • Serve as a member of the companywide DEI council, leading DEI efforts for the Lifetouch Field organization and driving the leaders and teams towards goals through program creation and execution related to the field operations and hiring practices
  • Act as change agent related to current practices aligned with our DEI and culture strategy, specifically for our field business
  • Analyze business unit data to identify trends and recommend innovative solutions to improve performance, retention, engagement and employee experience
  • Support leaders in areas such as leadership development, performance management, employee relations, compensation, and career development
  • Responsibility of the Lifetouch Corporate location representing the business and business needs in facility management and real estate.
  • Manage a team of HR Business Partners 
  • Provide management coaching to build leadership capabilities and to address employee issues; working with people managers and employees to address all types of employee relations issues ensuring a balanced perspective
  • Assess the organization’s training needs and leverage our Learning & Development organization to meet those needs
  • Build employee-friendly processes and understanding the value of being a service organization

The candidate will have the following personal characteristics:

  • Comfortable navigating challenging forces in the dynamic consumer space and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment with significant change; employing only the necessary HR processes that enable the organization to innovate and grow
  • Experience being a CHRO or HR leader for a fast pace start-up of a business unit, leading all aspects of people support is strongly preferred
  • Experience leading DEI initiatives and creating programs to establish and enhance the overall strategy

  • Currently a Director or above for an ecommerce/retail company (or related business) with 1000+ employees and revenues over $500M. 15+ years of progressively responsible experience in HR generalist
  • Bachelor’s Degree is required. Masters Degree or MBA strongly preferred along with SPHR or SHRM certification.

  • Workforce Planning:  Demonstrated ability to identify the HR implications of the business plan and develop and implement innovative systems, processes and solutions to meet identified needs with an external lens
