Program Manager, Global Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI)

In this role, you will help shape and elevate our existing DEI strategy and own end-to-end program development and execution in partnership with our DEI Committee and cross-functional team members.  You are an empathetic, and caring leader who makes others feel safe sharing their experiences with you. This role will report directly to Shutterfly’s Deputy General Counsel and Senior Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.  This position can be based in one of our facilities in Eden Prairie, MN; Bay Area, CA; Tempe, AZ; Fort Mill, SC or Durham, NC.

What You’ll Do Here

In this role, you will:

  • Own end-to-end program management including overall accountability for the projects and develop creative and innovative programmatic approaches to DEI across our diverse workforces and global locations
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to enable and support the attraction and hiring of world-class diverse talent
  • Provide educational and consultation support to the People team as a content expert for diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Expand the global reach of our DEI programs and act as a first point of contact for DEI related issues from employees
  • Partner with our People team to develop and analyze metrics for measuring progress and effectiveness of our diversity, equity and inclusion strategy and programs
  • Partner with our Learning and Development team to help foster a culture of allyship by providing education, awareness and concrete ways for all employees to get involved in creating an inclusive, equitable workplace
  • Help to develop and own our DEI strategy related to vendors and external partnerships, using a business focused and data driven approach to measure impact
  • Oversee, coordinate, track and measure effectiveness of our DEI initiatives and overall strategy across the organization globally

What’s You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years of work experience in diversity, equity and inclusion, with 2-3 years of experience in program or project management preferred
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work-related experience
  • Ability to identify, build, and evaluate DEI programs that are relevant and meaningful to our employees and our business, globally
  • Ability to determine appropriate key metrics and experience collecting, extracting and reporting data to track progress and success against our DEI strategy and key objectives
  • Provide DEI subject matter expertise, education and awareness on research, data, challenges, and disparities as needed
  • Work with business leaders and teams to identify relevant and meaningful key objectives that align with DEI priorities and further enable Shutterfly to achieve its DEI strategy and goals
  • Program management skills - ability to lead and work effectively across multiple priorities, drive progress against DEI goals and collaborate with stakeholders at varying levels of leadership.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills - comfortable communicating and delivering updates to executive leadership and companywide employees as well as partnering effectively across the organization
  • Highly responsive, flexible, collaborative and service-oriented attitude
  • Ability to adapt to multiple and changing demands and juggle different priorities
  • Depending on where the position is located, some travel may be required
