We are seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer (Contractor) to join our team!


Responsibilities: 

  • Experience in Jira, confluence, and GitHub cloud and on-premises
    • Would love to have someone that has maintained, deployed, and engineered the product stacks.
  • Linux and Windows Experience preferred.
  • Understanding of Azure and including and not limited to Azure AD, IaaS, PaaS, Virtual Machines, AVD, AFS, automation, self-service deployment via terraform etc.
  • Experience with SolarWinds including and not limited to patching, re-engineering, also troubleshooting
  • Strong documentation background preferred. Need to be able to provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure so a tiered support model can be performed.
  • Office 365 collaboration and Google workspace experience.
  • Experience with PowerShell and other scripting languages.
  • Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
  • Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
  • Work tickets assigned to the Service Now queue, work, and assign based on the needs.

 Qualifications: 

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required
  • 3-5 years of database, network administration, or system administration experience
  • Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools
  • Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols
