We are seeking a Desktop Technician to join our Lifetouch team in Muncie, IN.  This role requires you to work onsite.  

What You’ll Do Here:

  • Operate the morning shift IT support staff helpdesk & assist the various production teams to meet their goals.   
  • On-prem end user support and daily service tasks for print manufacturing environment. 
  • Resolution for IT problem jobs and ticket service management.
  • Interaction with printing presses, high quality printers, and image processing workflows.
  • Production PC support (hardware, software, networking, printer workflows)
  • Inter-company support (other Shutterfly facilities, 3rd party vendors)
  • Researching and implementation of new technologies & techniques.
  • Networking/cable runs and patching for wired ethernet devices.
  • PC imaging and deployment via SCCM or custom builds.

The Skills You’ll Bring:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-year technical degree/A+ certification in computer science or 2 years related work experience required.
  • 1 year experience with Microsoft Windows and Windows NT.  We are primarily a Windows OS facility, but some MacOS or Linux exposure is favorable. 
  • Experience with ITIL ticketing software such as ServiceNow or others.
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience with related computer and networking equipment installation, configuration, and maintenance, including PCs, servers, peripherals, switches, hubs, and the general internet of things.
  • Knowledge of MSSQL & MYSQL databases.
  • Virtualization experience is a plus. VMWare vSphere server administration, and other desktop virtual machines. Experience with Azure WVD is also helpful.
  • Able to lift and move up to 40 lbs.
  • Flexible schedule (able to work alternate shifts and weekends as needed)
  • Knowledge of safe working habits, ability to follow instructions and work under pressure, demonstrated problem solving ability.
  • Can read and write English, communicate verbally, and fulfill job responsibilities.
