SEO Content Specialist/Writer (Contractor) 

Shutterfly is looking for a  few friendly, experienced and skilled SEO Content Writers to work on a contract basis for a shorter term special project.  These positions will report into the Sr SEO Manager.  

The SEO Content Specialists (Contractors) will play a key role growing relevant SEO traffic and revenue through strategic SEO content and page rollout projects. We’re looking for someone who loves to research, build web pages, and write. The most important skills for this role are content writing, editing content, SEO research, UX design, and posting pages in CMS platforms. 

Responsibilities and Duties 

  • Edit and write new SEO friendly page content
  • Design, build, and publish pages in the CMS
  • Keyword research from SEO tools
  • Experience cropping and formatting images for web pages
  • Cross functional collaboration with key teams
  • Day to day project management and execution of SEO projects
  • Work to improve organic search revenue, rankings, and traffic for web and mobile
  • Analyze search engine results, data from tools, competitors, and our websites to identify SEO opportunities between content, UX design, links, and technical 

Qualifications 

  • Content writing experience
  • Ability to work FT hours M-F
  • CMS experience building, designing, and posting pages
  • Proactive attitude/resourceful
  • Self-motivated individual who is driven towards continual improvement of projects
  • Strong interest in SEO/knowledge in SEO tools
  • Ability to pivot between tactical work and strategy
  • 2-5 years of strong writing experience
  • Positive, can do attitude
  • Open to new ideas and data, likes getting feedback from team members
  • Organizational skills and the ability to manage many projects at a time
  • MS Office Suite skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • BA or BS required
