Job Overview
The Salesforce Systems Administrator ensures the team is maximizing efficiencies and capitalizing on the full features and benefits of the Salesforce (SFDC) and Enterprise systems based on business needs. This role interfaces directly with internal stakeholders to understand their needs so to administer, support, and enhance the system accordingly. As the main point of contact for users, keeping current on new releases and AppExchange solutions as well as promoting adoption is critical. 
 
This individual excels in problem solving, oral and written communication, and attention to detail. The ability to envision and implement continual process improvement and high-level customer service skills is essential. They demonstrate exceptional technical and troubleshooting skills, the ability to work independently, and a strong teamwork ethic. This role reports to the Director, System and Software Management.
Essential Functions

Salesforce Administration

  • Monitor, triage, and address incoming user requests using the IT Support Portal
  • Identify technical challenges and troubleshoot issues by devising immediate and long-term solutions
  • Configure and maintain custom objects, page layouts, data validation rules, flows, approval processes and installed packages
  • Facilitate data imports, database de-duping, and cleanups
  • Manage the integration of connected applications and packages, including but not limited to Marketo, Conga, Adobe Sign, In-house Admissions Portal, formstack and FormAssembly
  • Engage with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements as well as to propose solutions that leverage SFDC functionality
  • Translate approved solutions into actionable deliverables within the respective systems, ensuring high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency
  • Monitor Salesforce releases and efficiently deploy new features from testing to production
  • Create and maintain user roles, profiles, and hierarchies
  • Ensure data integrity and system security by continually adopting Salesforce best practices
  • Monitor usage and provide guidance to users or groups needing assistance
  • Develop and update process documentation and field maps 
Security

  • Comply with Shorelight Written Information Security Policy, and all other Shorelight Information Security Policies and Procedures
  • Take responsibility for any Shorelight assets assigned to you
  • Promptly report any security events, incidents or weaknesses to Shorelight Security 
Minimum Qualifications
  • 2+ years of Salesforce administration experience
  • Salesforce Administrator ADM-201 certification
  • In-depth knowledge of the standard capabilities of SFDC
  • Experience with SFDC integrations with external systems
  • Strong reporting background using standard reporting tools
  • Fluency in English is essential for this role, both written and spoken.  Candidates must be able to articulate ideas clearly and understand complex instructions.  Minimum English level of B2 or higher required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field
  • Salesforce Administrator ADM-301 certification
  • Deep familiarity with a broad suite of cloud-based and SAAS applications in a business environment
  • Knowledge of Conga and FormAssembly
