Job Overview
The Operations Manager for Short-Term Programs will play a pivotal role in supporting the Managing Director to execute the vision, strategy, and operational excellence of Shorelight’s short-term educational offerings. This role is essential to the day-to-day functioning and long-term growth of programs such as American Collegiate Live (ACL) and our elite summer programs. The Operations Manager will be instrumental in ensuring seamless program delivery, data management, partner coordination, and process optimization, directly contributing to the success of these initiatives.

Essential Functions 

Operational Support
  • Assist the MD in the execution of operational strategies for short-term/summer programs, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Oversee administrative tasks such as scheduling, reporting, and documentation to ensure smooth program management.
  • Develop and maintain organized systems for tracking program milestones, student outcomes, and financial metrics.
Program Coordination
  • Coordinate logistics for program implementation, including student onboarding, housing arrangements, co-curriculars and scheduling with university partners.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, addressing queries and providing updates.
  • Support the MD in maintaining relationships with university partners, ensuring operational alignment and addressing any issues that arise.
Data Management and Reporting
  • Collect, analyze, and report on program data, including enrollment trends, student feedback, and financial performance metrics.
  • Assist in preparing presentations and reports for senior leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor program KPIs and suggest actionable insights for continuous improvement.
Process Improvement
  • Identify inefficiencies in current processes and propose solutions to enhance program delivery and student experience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, admissions, and university relations, to streamline workflows.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and recommend process enhancements aligned with organizational goals. 
Event and Project Management
  • Support the planning and execution of events such as student orientations, university partner meetings, and marketing initiatives.
  • Manage timelines and deliverables for key projects, ensuring they are completed on schedule and within budget.
Security
  • Comply with Shorelight Written Information Security Policy, and all other Shorelight Information Security Policies and Procedures.
  • Take responsibility for any Shorelight assets assigned to you.
  • Promptly report any security events, incidents, or weaknesses to Shorelight Security.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, education, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in operations, program management, or a similar role, preferably in higher education or international student services.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on collaboration and relationship-building.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools (experience with Salesforce and Wrike is a plus).
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications 
  • Familiarity with international student recruitment and education trends.
  • Experience in supporting online or hybrid educational programs.
  • Knowledge of logistics coordination in higher education settings.
