Shockwave Medical, Inc. is a pioneer in the development and commercialization of Intravascular Lithotripsy (IVL) to treat complex calcified cardiovascular disease. Shockwave Medical aims to establish a new standard of care for medical device treatment of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease through its differentiated and proprietary local delivery of sonic pressure waves for the treatment of calcified plaque.

Position Overview 
We are seeking an experienced Senior Power BI Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, BI solution development, and an in-depth understanding of Power BI features. This role involves leading BI projects, working with data engineers, and collaborating with various departments to deliver actionable insights. 
 
Essential Job Functions
Design and Development:
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models to meet business needs.
  • Optimize data models for performance and scalability.
  • Implement advanced DAX queries and calculations.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity in BI solutions.
Data Integration:
  • Work with Snowflake cloud data warehouse to build backend data models to support Power BI semantic layer
  • Work with data engineering team to ensure data is loaded and transformed from multiple sources like Oracle Fusion Cloud, Salesforce, Adaptive Planning etc..
Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Collaborate closely with teams across finance, supply chain, manufacturing, commercial operations, and other key functions to deeply understand their data needs and priorities.
  • Skillfully translate complex business requirements into clear, actionable data solutions within Power BI, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Develop and implement these solutions, leveraging Power BI and Snowflake’s advanced features to deliver meaningful insights and drive data-driven decision-making across the organization.
    Project Leadership:
    • Lead BI projects from inception to deployment, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
    • Mentor and guide junior developers and team members.
    Documentation and Training:
    • Create and maintain technical documentation for BI solutions.
    • Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI tools and best practices.
     
    Requirements 
    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
    • 5+ years of experience in BI development, with a focus on Power BI.
    • Proficiency in Snowflake, SQL and advanced experience with data modeling concepts.
    • Strong expertise in DAX, Power Query, and other Power BI functionalities.
    • Experience with data integration tools and ETL processes.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. 

        Market Range: $121,000 - $151,000
        Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
