EU Commercial Insights Manager

This is an exciting time to join Shionogi Europe, as a growing pharmaceutical company we have launched three new hospital speciality products in addition to a women’s health portfolio and are expanding our affiliate operation across the EU5. We have the backing of our parent company to continue our growth plan through organic growth and acquisitions.

Since the establishment of commercial footprint in 2015, Shionogi Europe has developed a unique first hand insights’ model of conducting testing of EU brand launch materials. With regular brand review and insights analysis that far exceed the normal scope of market research. Furthermore, we have an innovative Data Warehouse and visualisation platform that underpins our insight model. This system allows for the rapid-review of data from every channel that we have available to us and is able to provide tangible information on Customer behaviours (HCP / patient / pharmacy).

In this new role you will play a pivotal role in growing our commercial structure. You will in a timely and to a high-quality deliver and coordinate the following:

  • Scheduling affiliate and EU Regional launch materials testing, involving multiple stakeholders
  • Product pre-launch baseline research and on-going ATU tracking
  • Country brand reviews
  • Training colleagues to access ‘always on’ insights and generate reports
  • RFP writing, vendor selection and management
  • Compliance (PV Agreement management / AE Training / procurement) – aligned to Global Market Research SOP
  • Creating a new EU standardisation of reporting


In this hands-on role, were you will be juggling multiple tasks and priorities, we need you to have:

  • A strong track record of delivering business acceleration, product or brand evolution through insight or market research across the pharmaceutical / healthcare market
  • Experience in designing market research to meet the needs of commercial and marketing strategy
  • Project management experience, including setting and managing timelines and milestones
  • Experience producing and delivering high quality insights to senior leadership and key stakeholder
  • Capable of managing complex scheduling – involving multiple stakeholders (EU and LOC)
