About the Role 

As the Accounting Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Financial Controller by overseeing financial operations, including revenue accounting, inventory management, Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), R&D, and Fixed Asset accounting. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain compliance with relevant standards, and enhance system functionalities to support the organisation's strategic objectives. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in revenue recognition processes, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local GAAP requirements
  • Managing inventory accounting, including valuation, reconciliation, and analysis
  • Analysing and reporting on COGS, providing insights into cost drivers and profitability
  • Managing R&D and fixed asset accounting
  • Performing reconciliations on balance sheet accounts and following up on discrepancies
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinating with external auditors during audits and implementing audit recommendations
  • Assisting with the preparation of statutory financial statements for subsidiaries

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager with a proactive approach to managing financial operations. You will demonstrate a strong ability to provide insightful financial analysis and innovative solutions. Additionally we wish you to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Proven experience in financial accounting, with a focus on revenue, inventory, and COGS
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP requirements for European entities
  • Proficiency in financial software systems (Netsuite in particular)
  • Strong team collaboration skills with a sense of ownership and accountability
  • Adaptability and agility to embrace change when necessary
