Consultant, Strategy and Clinical Oversight

Development London, United Kingdom

Description

Do you want to work on an exciting global study where you will have true ownership of the operational direction and strategic vision?

At Shionogi we believe in doing things differently. In Europe, our unique DNA combined with our Japanese roots drives a strong and rapidly growing European operation. Central to our business is the real belief that ‘everybody counts’. That means that everybody in the organisation is valued for their personal contribution. We actively develop and support our employees to be the best they possibly can, building on their skills and adding new capabilities for themselves.

We have a history and heritage of providing critical medicines for over 145 years. Our driving focus is caring about people and “Putting Patients First”. We believe and live our values. For you this means we offer early responsibility and opportunity to develop into the role, in a contemporary and fun place to work.

This is a 12 month contract and as part of our clinical operations team, you will have ownership over operational and strategic vision across phase I – III global clinical trials, including strategic input into the clinical development plan. You will take a sponsor facing role to build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), and external vendors such as CROs, sites and key internal stakeholders (commercial and medical affairs).

You will also be responsible for:
  • Clinical oversight of global clinical programs to deliver high quality data on time, within budget
  • Strategic consulting on pipeline integration to ensure ROI
  • Direct KOL engagement to accelerate study delivery
  • Driving  organisational change strategy and coaching team members
We are looking for a dynamic, creative individual who can think outside the box and will be comfortable liaising externally, representing Shionogi as a business. If you are an innovative thinker and have strategic vision, this is a great role for you to utilise this. You will also have:

  • A life sciences degree (BSc, MSc or equivalent)
  • Experience in clinical operations particularly with vendor management and change management
  • Clinical strategy experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Driven, proactive and a cross-functional approach
If this sounds like you, please apply. We look forward to hearing all about you.
