Senior Program Manager – Shift Digital (VW Account Team)
 
Shift Digital is seeking a dynamic Senior Program Manager to join our team onsite with the Volkswagen USA Retail Marketing Team in Reston, VA. This role requires working onsite three days a week, aligning with Volkswagen’s in-office schedule, while serving as the primary onsite representative for Shift Digital.
 
As the onsite Shift Account representative, you will oversee the overall health, strategy, and operations of the program, ensuring seamless execution and continuous improvement. You will act as a key liaison between the Volkswagen team, Shift Digital’s Account Team (based in Birmingham, MI), and certified vendors, driving program growth, optimizing KPIs, and fostering strong client relationships. This role demands a proactive, detail-oriented individual capable of managing multiple priorities while representing Shift Digital with professionalism and expertise. You will ensure seamless communication, deliver project updates, and provide day-to-day support to maintain program success.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Program Oversight:
    • Manage overall program operations, strategy, and health.
    • Oversee program components and expansion opportunities to ensure they meet Volkswagen’s objectives.
    • Program Awareness and Communication:
    • Communicate all program details, updates, and required actions to certified vendors, clients, and regional teams.
    • Ensure all stakeholders remain aligned and informed about program initiatives and progress.
  • Program Growth:
    • Identify and implement opportunities to enhance program strategy and tactics.
    • Consult with the client to recommend program improvements and drive performance enhancements.
  • Client Relations:
    • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for program initiatives across all digital channels.
    • Build and maintain strong client relationships, proactively engaging with stakeholders to address needs and deliver solutions.
    • Measurement and Reporting:
    • Define and measure program KPIs, focusing on conversion effectiveness and digital performance.
    • Provide actionable insights and deliver comprehensive reports on program performance.
  • Vendor Management:
    • Manage certified vendors to ensure adherence to program benchmarks, brand standards, and timely reporting.
    • Ensure vendors are effectively servicing the program and delivering required integrations.
  • Account Planning:
    • Align quarterly goals with program initiatives to ensure strategic objectives are achieved.
    • Track progress and refine plans to meet and exceed program goals.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • 3+ yrs. Account Management experience with a proved track record of success
  • Must understand and excel in the consulting environment and how to engage clients with a “can do” attitude
  • Need a solid understanding of the digital marketing landscape, automotive digital marketing background is preferred by not required
  • Detailed & functional expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, with an advanced skill set in Microsoft Excel (i.e. creating complex spreadsheets, including use of Pivot Tables and graphs)
  • Must be self-motivated, possess strong phone skills and be able to thrive and multi-task in a busy environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills are expected
  • Project management skills: ability to juggle multiple projects, adapt to changing/conflicting priorities, and breakdown strategy into work tasks
  • Implementation experience with analytics platforms such as a web reporting tool and tag management software is a plus
  • Experience with ecommerce and automotive dealer operations is a plus
