We are looking to hire a Business Analyst to join our Software Delivery team located in Birmingham, MI. You will be a member of a team that is responsible for building the software we provide to our clients. We’re looking for someone who is a problem-solver, an analyzer, is eager to build their technical prowess, and is fascinated with the software development process.   


Desired Skills and Experience

  • Familiarity with software development and aspire to work on a technical team
  • Desire to understand connections between frontend and backend technical processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Can independently create queries in SQL
  • Confidence in communicating with technical and non-technical audiences at all levels of an organization
  • Analytically minded and possess strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Able to identify tasks and manage a multi-streamed workload independently
  • Competency working with Excel and other Microsoft Office products; Visio experience a bonus
  • At least 2 years prior experience in a technical role or software QA preferred
  • Experience working with application web services preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Bachelor of Science preferred

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Act as a liaison between business and technical teams
  • Participate in requirements gathering efforts with internal and external stakeholders
  • Translate business processes and requests into written technical specifications
  • Write user stories and product defect reports using recommended processes and guidelines
  • Create technical diagrams and wireframes
  • Disseminate requirements to software developers through design and functional meetings, and during implementation
  • Create and modify SQL queries to conduct analysis of product functionality
  • Develop acceptance criteria and perform primary testing of changes
  • Communicate with project managers as development progresses
  • Maintain internal technical product documentation
