Job Description


We are seeking a Data Analyst Research Associate.  As part of this role, you will support the market research team to build a comprehensive view of the competitive diagnostics landscape. Together with your supervisor, you will identify and evaluate public and proprietary information sources and develop solutions to pull, transform and store relevant structured and unstructured data. This will involve building and accessing data via APIs, parsing through text files, and building scalable data storage solutions.

With the data prepared, you will become the expert in both the demand and supply side of the diagnostics industry. You will query data and understand patient lifecycles, needs and expenditures and compare that to available products to identify new opportunities for Sherlock. You will also develop methods to rank these opportunities across different verticals. Finally, you will help build presentation materials and self-service dashboards for senior stakeholders and host training sessions.

 Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Python (2+ years)
  • SQL (1+ years)
  • Data visualization (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) experience strongly preferred
  • NLP experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with APIs preferred
  • Familiarity with Java / C / or other programming languages
