Urgent Care Physician Opportunities: Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group: San Diego, California

Compensation:

Hourly rate range $147–$163/hour, plus wRVU-based incentives and group bonus opportunities
Total annual compensation range: $285,000–$340,000+ The posted compensation range reflects the anticipated salary or compensation range for this position, as required by applicable state law. Actual total compensation may be higher and can include additional earnings such as productivity incentives, quality and performance bonuses, hospital/call stipends, extra shift pay, and other compensation components, where applicable. Providers may also be eligible for a CME allowance and a comprehensive benefits package. Individual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and internal equity.

Position Overview

Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group (SRSMG) is seeking Urgent Care Physicians interested in a fast-paced, high-acuity, and highly procedural environment. This position is ideal for physicians who enjoy emergency-based medicine without overnight shifts or hospital call.

• No overnights
• High-acuity, procedural urgent care model
• Broad scope including complex urgent care and emergency-style presentations
• Mix of fast-track and higher-acuity cases requiring decisive clinical management
• Practice emergency medicine principles in a well-resourced outpatient setting

Clinical Environment

• All urgent care sites operate 365 days per year, 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• Flexible shifts available: 6, 8, 10, and 12-hour options
• Average volume 2–2.5 patients per hour
• Fully equipped sites with:
• On-site lab, Radiology and Pharmacy
• Procedural support and experienced clinical teams onsite
• Epic EMR used system-wide across Sharp HealthCare

Qualifications

• Board Certified / Board Eligible in:
• Emergency Medicine
• Family Medicine
• Internal Medicine/Pediatrics
• Board certification required within 2 years of hire
