Dr Salada’s medical practice is dynamic and ever changing in order to meet the health care needs of the communities in which she serves. Her mission is to help her patients to achieve excellent health by having a true partnership where she and her patients work together to develop an individualized health care plan.

The ideal candidate for this full-time position is someone who is detail-oriented, adaptable, and motivated. Your primary responsibilities will be facilitating the patient flow and obtaining pertinent information.

Essential Duties

• Maintain ongoing tracking and appropriate documentation on referrals to promote team awareness and ensure patient safety.
• Ensure complete and accurate registration, including patient demographic and current insurance information.
• Assemble information concerning patient’s clinical background and referral needs. Per referral guidelines, provide appropriate clinical information to referring physician.
• Ensure prior approval requirements are met, including insurance eligibility.
• Review details and expectations about the referral with patients.
• Ensure that referrals are addressed in a timely manner.
• Ensure the patient’s chart is up to date with information on physician notes, consults, hospitalizations, ER visits, and test results.
• Checks all pages in the record to verify correct patient information.
• Interprets and implements policies relating to disclosure of confidential patient medical information.
• Analyzes and answers correspondence requests in compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements/statutes.

Experience:

• Insurance verification: 1 year (Preferred)
• Medical billing: 1 year (Preferred)
• Work Location: In person

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Certification Required
• Insurance/Eligibility knowledge Required.
• Preferred Qualifications
• Medical Administration Certification Preferred
• 1+ years of referrals and medical records experience preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
