Job Summary: 
The Medical Administrative Trainer will play a crucial role in enhancing the proficiency of medical administrative staff in key operational areas, ensuring adherence to regulations and fostering a high standard of service. 
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Training Development: Create and update comprehensive training programs for front desk, call center, referrals, and medical records management.
  • Conduct Training: Lead sessions on patient check-in/check-out, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, referral processing, and medical records management.
  • Utilize Training Techniques: Employ diverse methods such as hands-on practice, role-playing, and e-learning to promote effective learning.
  • Identify Needs: Collaborate with department heads to assess training needs and customize programs to address specific gaps.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track performance metrics across administrative functions and provide ongoing support and training to maintain service standards.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all training materials and programs comply with HIPAA and other relevant regulations.
  • Staff Resource: Act as a knowledgeable resource for administrative staff, aiding in resolving complex issues.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain records of training activities, track progress, and generate reports on outcomes and staff performance.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years in a medical office front desk role, with expertise in insurance verification, referral management, and medical records handling.
  • Prior experience in training or mentoring staff is strongly preferred.
Competencies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective training and mentorship.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, capable of managing multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency with medical office software, including EHR systems.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws.
  • Ability to adapt training techniques for diverse learning styles and develop engaging materials.
  • Problem-solving skills to guide staff through complex situations.
  • Team-oriented with strong collaboration abilities.
